In less than two weeks, Hamburg, NY, native Craig Rybczynski will fly to Prague to join Team USA as they compete in the 2011 World Indoor Lacrosse Championships (May 21-28). The veteran communications professional will handle the media relations for the U.S. National Team.

“This is a dream come true,” he said. “As a son of an Army veteran, it is an honor and a privilege to represent my country.”

The United States is one of eight teams participating in the Third Annual World Indoor Lacrosse Championships. The Americans open the tournament against the host Czech Republic on Saturday, May 21st at 1:00 p.m. EST.

The St. Francis High School product will also have the opportunity to webcast some games from the tournament. He will also provide interviews and coverage from the event on a special weekly world games recap show from Monday, May 23rd to Friday, May 27th. “It will allow fans to hear from the players and learn about their on and off the floor experiences,” said Rybczynski. “A special thanks to Tim Knab for serving as the host of the show.”

Rybczynski currently works as the play-by-play broadcaster and Vice President of Communications for the National Lacrosse League’s Rochester Knighthawks.
